Peter Nielsen, 77, Dies At Kenosha Hospital
Peter Nielsen, 77, 7106 22nd Ave., died at hte Kenosha Hospital Wednesday afternoon following an illness of two months' duration.
He was born in Staa, Denmark, on Nov. 7, 1882, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nels Thomsen. He spent his early life in Denmark and received his education there. Coming to America in 1903, Nielsen went directly to Somers Township to live. On Nov. 29, 1904, he married Miss Paulina Sorensen, and, in 1908, they moved to Bristol Township, where he engaged in farming until 1942 when they moved to Kenosha to make their home.
Nielsen was employed at the Green Ridge Cemetery for seven years before retiring from active duties in 1949. He was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church.
Nielsen is survived by his widow and two brothers, Tony Nelsen, Somers Township, and Edward C. Nelsen, Kenosha.
